Replacement Red Light Bulbs

The same full-spectrum incandescent bulbs we build into every SweatBox at the factory. $25 each, shipping included.

Wattage has to match your sauna. All three share the same E26 screw base, so the wrong one will still fit. Fitting the wrong wattage can damage your sauna's electrical system and voids the warranty.

Every socket, every wattage.

Your sauna's panels are not all the same. The Outdoor in particular runs two different wattages in one cabin. Check this against your unit before you add anything to the cart.

Why these bulbs

Full spectrum, not two thin lines.

Most red light products on the market are LED arrays. LEDs are efficient precisely because they emit a narrow slice of the spectrum — usually a red peak and a near-infrared peak, with nothing in between. Incandescent full-spectrum bulbs work the opposite way.

Full-spectrum incandescent — these bulbs
Continuous output across red and infrared, with UV and blue filtered out
Typical LED red light panel
Two narrow peaks — nothing in the gaps

The practical difference is warmth. A continuous spectrum carries real radiant heat, which is why sitting in front of one of these feels like standing in afternoon sun rather than under a coloured light. That heat is doing work alongside the light, and it's the reason we build the sauna around bulbs instead of panels.

They emit no UV and no blue light, so an evening session doesn't work against your sleep. And because each one is a simple screw-in bulb, a failure costs $25 and two minutes — not a replacement panel and a service call.

These bulbs

  • Continuous red and infrared output, not isolated peaks
  • Radiant warmth you can actually feel on the skin
  • No UV, no blue light — safe for evening use
  • Standard E26 base — swap one in yourself
  • $25 to replace a single point of failure

Typical LED panel

  • Narrow peaks with gaps between them
  • Little to no radiant heat
  • Sealed unit — no user-serviceable parts
  • Often needs a fan, and you hear it
  • One diode array fails, the whole panel goes

Quick questions.

It will screw in — all three use the same E26 base — but the circuit isn't designed for it. Over-wattage draws more current than the panel is rated for, which can damage the wiring and the controller, and it voids your warranty. Under-wattage won't reach the temperatures the sauna is calibrated around. Check the number printed on the old bulb before ordering.
If it's indoors and tops out at 150°F, it's the Original and takes 100 W. If it's indoors with the High Heat Upgrade and reaches 180°F, it takes 150 W. The Outdoor runs both: 100 W in the upper panels, 200 W in the lower. Email us your order number and we'll confirm it for you.
No. The panels, wiring, and temperature controller are matched to a specific load. Putting 150 W bulbs in an Original doesn't upgrade it — it overloads it. If you want the higher temperature, the High Heat model is built for it end to end.
Switch the sauna off at the wall and give it twenty minutes to cool — the glass stays hot well after the light goes out. Read the wattage printed on the old bulb before you unscrew it, lift the guard, swap in the new one hand-tight, and drop the guard back. No tools needed.
Not at all — one failed bulb is a one-bulb order. That said, bulbs installed at the same time tend to age at the same rate, so if you're a few years in and one goes, a full set is a reasonable call.
Yes. $25 is what you pay per bulb, shipped to the lower 48 via USPS or UPS. And as an Oregon company we never charge sales tax.
No — the Station uses a 250 W bulb, which isn't listed here. Email info@sweatboxshop.com and we'll sort you out directly.
