IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
========================================
PREPARING & PICKING THE RIGHT SPACE
GENERAL PLACEMENT GUIDELINES
-
The sauna can be placed on any flat, dry, stable surface.
-
Carpet is fine
-
Cement is fine
-
Wood flooring is fine
-
The sauna is fine to be placed against a wall or in the corner of a room.
-
Both the Indoor and Outdoor SweatBox Saunas use a standard 110V outlet.
-
No electrician required.
-
However, the sauna should not share the same circuit as another large household appliance (washer/dryer, etc.).
INDOOR SWEATBOX SAUNA
-
The Indoor SweatBox Sauna is designed for indoor use only.
-
It should not be exposed to outdoor elements or moisture.
-
This includes covered patios.
-
An uncontrolled/un-airconditioned garage is acceptable.
-
However, if the garage becomes extremely cold during winter, the sauna may have difficulty reaching maximum temperature.
OUTDOOR SWEATBOX SAUNA
-
The Outdoor SweatBox Sauna can be used indoors or outdoors.
-
The Outdoor Sauna should still be placed on a flat, dry surface.
-
We do not recommend placing it directly on grass or dirt.
-
Although the sauna is slightly elevated, grass/dirt can attract bugs and insects and may cause the sauna to shift or sink over time.
-
The outdoor sauna plug should always be protected from moisture.
-
We recommend using a GFCI outlet.
-
During heavy rain or storms, ensure the plug connection is protected and not exposed to water.
-
The Outdoor Sauna should remain covered whenever moisture is present.
-
This includes rain, snow, mist, dew, or excessive moisture.
-
The cedar wood is intentionally untreated to provide a more natural, chemical-free sauna experience.
-
Because the wood is untreated, prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the wood over time.
Run the sauna at least once per week for 30 minutes to rid of any moisture build up and to protect the wood. -
Leaving the outdoor cover on between sessions may also help the sauna heat up faster and retain heat more efficiently.
========================================
WOOD, MATERIALS & CARE
-
Both the Indoor and Outdoor SweatBox Saunas use untreated wood that is sanded only.
-
This helps avoid chemicals or toxins being released when the sauna heats up.
-
Because the wood is untreated, it can be more susceptible to blemishes or marks.
-
Please handle all panels carefully during moving and setup.
-
Do not apply paint, stain, finishes, or chemical coatings to the sauna.
-
This may create potential toxicity or fire hazards.
-
Any alteration or modification to the original SweatBox Sauna design may void the warranty.
-
OUTDOOR SAUNAS: Please turn on your sauna to max heat at least once per week for around 30 minutes. This will ensure that moisture build up does not occur inside the sauna and damage the wood. Again, these are untreated and have no “chemicals” on the wood.

HEATING & SAFETY INFORMATION
-
Like all saunas, SweatBox contains heating elements that become extremely hot during use.
-
Due to the compact design, the heating elements are closer in proximity to the user than traditional saunas.
-
Please use caution when repositioning yourself inside the sauna.
-
Avoid touching:
-
Red light bulbs
-
Infrared panels (Indoor model)
